An NGV exhibition which imagines ways to turn plastic pollution into potential resources, whilst raising community awareness of, and engagement with, issues surrounding microplastics.

MICROCULTURES AND
MICROPLASTICS

Partnering with the National Gallery of Victoria, London College of Communication and scientists from the CSIRO, we examined the issue of plastic pollution and microplastics. From being a cheap and plentiful solution to causing a myriad of consumer and industrial problems, plastic use has decomposed into a complex global problem.

In response, we exhibited design prototypes and collated merchandise bags containing sustainable solutions to aid in changing human behaviour post-exhibition.
